It may be a cliché, but
when the woman in your life is happy, that means you’re happy too.
However, the way to keep that smile on her face isn’t so simple; in
fact, many men can go their whole lives without ever knowing what makes
their significant other really light up inside. Here are our top tips to
ensuring her happiness:
1. Treat her well. Sounds obvious, and it should be a no-brainer,
but you’d be surprised at how badly some women are treated. Just because
you make the effort to get the girl, doesn’t mean that effort can
disappear now she’s yours. All those simple things - like turning up on
time, holding her hand, and just being there for her - all add up to
making her feel good.
2. Listen to her. There are few things a woman enjoys more than
talking about her day, her friends, about the world. Many men make the
mistake of ‘switching off’ or even talking over her. If you really want
her to feel happy, a quick fire way is to really listen to what she’s
saying – she’ll appreciate having someone to vent her day’s events on,
and you’ll grow closer too.
3. Let her in. Many women complain that they feel ‘shut out’ from
their man’s world; his emotions and thoughts. It’s true that men don’t
generally ‘open up’ as much as women do, but this would be a mistake for
your relationship. If you can confide in her, she’ll not only be able to
help, but she’ll also feel happier knowing the ‘real you’ as well.
4. Show her affection. Sex is part of that, of course, but it’s
not the ‘be all and end all’. Affection can - and should be - shown in
many different forms and at different times: a casual stroke of her hair
during dinner, a glance her way at a party, a shoulder massage after a
long day’s drive. Limiting your affection to the bedroom is limiting
your relationship.
5. Surprise her. Every one of us loves a good surprise,
especially if there’s been a great deal of thought and effort put into
it. The opportunities are endless: surprise her with some
unusual gifts,
whisk her away to a romantic hotel, or pick her up from work in a
limousine.
6. Support her. Often, when women have problems or worries, the
man in her life will try to come up with solutions; it’s logical for men
to look for ‘fixes’ to problems. However, when your woman is complaining
about her nasty receptionist, she’s not looking for a ‘solution’; she
just wants you to sympathise and support her. Be there for her, rather
than trying to solve everything.
