Important Email Correspondence

It is vitally important that you check your email regularly after placing an order with us, and at least once 24 hours after placing your order. This is so we can be in contact with you about your song, possibly asking for some more information to make your song as special as possible, perhaps asking about pronunciations and so on. By placing an order, you are agreeing to regularly check your email (and checking your 'junk' folder) and responding. Please note this is more important for our custom songs, but still applies to template song orders too.

Custom Songs

As each and every song is made from the details which you provide, no two songs are ever alike. Therefore, each song which you order will be different to your previous order. Although Give-a-song.com strives to include as many details in your song that you provide, we reserve the right to include/exclude any details to make sure the song is the right length and style - but we will strive to include as much as possible, and try to make sure extra special personalised details are present.

Template Songs

Your unique, personalized information will be sung into your choice of song - so please choose carefully before deciding which song you want us to personalize.  Your chosen song will be unique, as it will feature vocals recorded purely for you, from your information.

Electronic Payment

All payment transactions are processed by PayPal, the global leader in secure online debit and credit card payments, or by Google Checkout - the new secure online payment system from Google. You can choose either to pay us with all major credit and debit cards.

Delivery Times

We do guarantee our advertised delivery timeframe for the MP3 delivery option, providing you have given us all the information we require at the time of ordering, and have replied to our initial email within 24 hours of it being sent (if we have sent one). The delivery times stated for our CD option (and the CD part of our combined MP3 and CD option) are what we strive for, and 9 times out of 10 are kept to - but please note these times are not guaranteed as we cannot control the Royal Mail. All delivery times are compliant with you making sure to check your emails regularly, and having at least replied to our initial email within 24 hours, if we have sent one. If you have not replied to our email(s), delivery time will therefore be at our discretion - though we will do our utmost to complete your order in as timely a fashion as possible.

MP3 Webpage

If you choose the MP3 Webpage delivery option then you will receive a unique webpage, (visible only to you, or whoever you choose to be able to see it) which will feature your song (which you can listen to on-line, or download), as well as the song lyrics, a personal message, and even a picture. An example MP3 webpage can be found here. Please ensure your computer can play the example song on the example page fine before ordering, as refunds cannot be given due to any compatibility problems with computers/web browsers. Your unique webpage will be available online for one calendar month from the time your song order has been completed.

Privacy Policy

Give-a-song.com does not ever receive your credit/debit details, and only keeps a record of your order consisting of delivery address, email, and song details. Under no circumstances will these details become available to any other person or organisation. When placing an order with Give-a-song.com we reserve the right to contact you via email (which we need to do when discussing your song).

Copyright

Each individual singer-songwriter owns and retains the full copyright to each personalised song that is ordered. We do give permission for you to make copies of the song for your own enjoyment, or to pass on to friends, but under no circumstances must the song be publicly broadcast or commercially distributed without Give-a-song.com's prior written permission.

All content included on this site, such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, and images, are the property of Give-a-song.com and protected by United Kingdom and international copyright laws. Refund Policy

Custom Songs: Every effort is made during the writing and recording process to make the best song possible for your order. We will be in contact with you throughout the process to ensure we are writing your song in the style you have requested, whilst also including as much of your personalised information as possible. We can not promise to include every single piece of information you have given us, but we will strive to include as much as we can, as well as ensuring extra special information is definitely included. Please note, however, that as musical taste is a very personal and subjective matter, a refund will not be given if you are not content with the song. We do not offer a lyrical approval process before recording, or a song alteration process after recording - this is so we can charge so comparatively little for our songs, as well as being able to ship our orders in such a small timeframe.

Template Songs are personalized with the information you give us at time of ordering, and will be personalized by this information sung into your choice of song, so please note that there can be no refunds for any reason, including if you have given us incorrect or mistyped details.

Sometimes, due to the particular properties of the image you may send us to be printed on your CD case (if you choose that option), we may be unable to print your photo at a suitable standard. This is most likely if you send us too small an image, but it can also be because of the digital colour profile associated with that image, or for many other reasons. Therefore, we reserve the right to use one of our own images if we can not get a satisfactory result with your image.

We endeavour to package our products to the highest standard, and they should reach you in a perfect state. This minimises the risk of damage which passes to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
